Here is already a major new twist in the upcoming possible trade involving Martin Necas and the Montreal Canadiens.

Not only could Necas truly be traded, not only do we know that Kent Hughes is at the forefront of the race (he called the Hurricanes' general manager), but it could happen as early as this week.

Martin Necas traded this week?

This is what the reputable Frank Seravalli has just suggested as a possibility.

Clearly, this is becoming a very serious matter, and clearly, Kent Hughes seems to be working very hard right now.

«Frank Seravalli believes that Martin Necas could be traded this week.

It is a known fact that the Canadiens are interested in acquiring him.

We will follow this closely.» - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin

It's huge! So it would be a matter of days before we finally get our answer for Martin Necas and the Canadiens. (whether positive or negative, we will finally have a verdict)

«Seravalli: I wouldn't be shocked to see Necas traded before the first game on Saturday. (before the first game of the Stanley Cup Final)» - Taj

Let's just say it would add a lot of excitement in this rather quiet week for the Montreal Canadiens, three weeks before the 2024 draft.

«I see him ending up in Montreal. He's the kind of piece that Kent Hughes would want to add to his attack.» - Darren Dreger, talking about Martin Necas

Martin Necas could be traded as early as this week and we look forward to seeing what happens next for him.

Let's remember that a year ago, Kent Hughes acquired the young Alex Newhook just before the 2023 draft.

Details will follow.
