The young forward for the Montreal Canadiens, Ivan Demidov, has just scored his first career goal in the KHL.

Having regained his spot on the third line for SKA, alongside Evgeny Kuznetsov, he continues to prove to his head coach that he deserves more ice time.

Ivan Demidov scores his 1st in the KHL

Here it is, the much-anticipated goal.

Yes, it is indeed Evgeny Kuznetsov who earned an assist on the first goal of the Montreal Canadiens' top prospect. I have a feeling these two will be excellent for each other this season under Roman Rotenberg's team.

Evgeny Kuznetsov, 32 years old, is a 6-foot-2, 207-pound forward. He was the 26th overall pick by the Washington Capitals in 2010 (first round) and has accumulated 575 points in 743 career NHL games.

Last season, he notably recorded 24 points with the Caps and the Carolina Hurricanes.

Ivan Demidov, 18 years old, is a 6-foot, 167-pound forward. He was the 5th overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2024 (first round).
