We have some developments with the Montreal Canadiens today, notably involving forward Josh Anderson.

For a rare time on a Sunday, the team is not off, following a heartbreaking loss to the Washington Capitals.

Indeed, let's recall that Martin St-Louis' squad fell 4-2 last night at the Bell Centre, despite the Canadiens taking an early 2-0 lead.

In short, the team is preparing to hit the ice for this morning's practice, but it will be without Anderson.

Josh Anderson will miss today's practice, and Martin St-Louis will provide details in a press conference

The organization has just announced that Josh Anderson will have a treatment day, as he is clearly bothered by something.

He's been working extremely hard this season and hasn't hesitated to put his body through the wringer to help the team.

It's a well-deserved day off for him.

There will indeed be a Canadiens press conference later this morning, and we are likely to learn more about Anderson's status at that time.

The Canadiens will call on the media around 11 a.m.

Josh Anderson, 30 years old, is a 6-foot-3, 226-pound forward. He has 10 points in 27 games this season, after scoring 20 in 78 games last season. However, beyond the statistics, his impact in each game is much more noticeable.

His $5.5 million annual salary is easier to justify this year, let's put it that way. (Anderson is signed through 2027)

Details to follow.
