Juraj Slafkovsky Claps Back at Sportsnet: The Toronto Media is Humiliated
It's not really our style to write articles to throw things "in the face" of certain people, but in this case, it's too blatant not to.
Juraj Slafkovsky harshly criticized publicly by Sportsnet journalists, a month ago
Not even a month ago, a story had caused quite a stir and had frustrated (rightly so) many fans of the Montreal Canadiens.
For some unknown reason, experts from Sportsnet had attacked young Juraj Slafkovsky.
They were really on his case, speaking very negatively of him, and it was a blatant display of sloppy journalism.
In short, we remind you that not even a month ago, around January 20th, Sportsnet analysts were saying that Slafkovsky should be sent to the 4th line of the Canadiens or he should go to the AHL.
He had no business there, according to them.
Yet, Slafkovsky had already been on the CH's first line for a month at that point.
"SN is attacking Slafkovsky because of the big hits he's taken. They suggest he should play either in Laval or on the 4th line." - January 15th post
A terrible, lazy, and poorly informed analysis, according to many, and it's even worse today.
Since that very specific statement on Sportsnet, Slafkovsky has accumulated 12 points in 11 games.
Yes, in their face!
And they saw him as a 4th line player or an AHL player just a month ago.
We would like to ask them that question again today!
Here are a few highlights of Slaff: the kid can pass, shoot, and do it all! And he's only 19!
