Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach had very positive things to say about Patrik Laine.

Laine, who injured his knee in the most recent preseason game against the Toronto Maple Leafs and has been struck by terrible bad luck, has pleasantly surprised many of his teammates.

He was constantly the first to jump on the ice before practices and was often the last to leave.

Yes, Patrik Laine was very determined to have a big season with the Habs.

Patrik Laine's impeccable attitude

On this subject, last night, forward Kirby Dach had this to say about Kent Hughes' latest major acquisition.

«He has been nothing but positive,» Dach said about Laine. «He was very excited to join our team, and I think he saw what we were trying to build here and was thrilled to be a part of it.»

And now it's happening.

«It's really unfortunate to see this happen to a guy who has had to deal with injury situations like I have,» Dach said. «I hope it will only be good news (to come) and that he'll be back on the ice.»

This speaks volumes about Patrik Laine's exemplary attitude.

When the management talks to us about a player they acquired, it can sometimes mean only so much, but when it comes directly from the players, his teammates, it's a whole different story.

Laine will obviously have to wait before starting his adventure in Montreal, but it seems he loves it here, loves what is being built within the Canadiens organization, and it looks like he'll be here for a long time.

This is just a postponement, but for now, let's hope for a little miracle.
