The young man will miss out on valuable playing time, which will surely delay his progress.
To try to minimize the impact of his absence, the organization has put a plan in place
Indeed, Reinbacher will do his rehabilitation within the Canadiens' organization, not with the Laval Rocket. The goal is not only to provide him with the best possible medical care but also to allow him to keep learning even while injured.
The Canadiens' aim with their 5th overall pick in the 2023 draft is to have him spend a lot of time with Stéphane Robidas for off-ice teaching. The organization wants to keep him close so he can closely observe the game and maintain contact with the team's veterans.
Though he remains with the Canadiens, the young man cannot deny his connection with the Laval Rocket. After playing 11 games last year in Laval's uniform, the 5th overall pick in the 2023 draft seems to have maintained ties with his teammates.
We saw proof of this over the weekend when the defenseman visited his teammates at Place Bell. After the club's victory against the Syracuse Crunch, Reinbacher greeted the Rocket players as they entered the locker room.
With crutches in hand, he was eager to congratulate the players on their win. Judging by their reactions, the players seemed very happy to see him.
It's good to see that, despite the challenge of his injury, the defenseman is still smiling. The organization seems to be supporting him well, and keeping him involved with both teams can only be beneficial for him.
Clearly, his teammates with the Laval Rocket like him a lot and were glad to see him. That says a lot.
