After a tough week for the organization, it's nice to have some positive news this morning.
First, Juraj Slafkovsky is back on skates and on the ice with his teammates, which is great news.
Secondly, Kaiden Guhle is also back and was on the Bell Centre ice in recent minutes.
We don't expect to see them in uniform tonight, but it's still excellent news moving forward, especially as these two young players are so important to Montreal.
We'll have all the details in the next few minutes, as the Canadiens will be holding a press conference.
Head coach Martin St-Louis is expected to provide final confirmations on his lineup as his team faces the St. Louis Blues tonight, live from the Bell Centre.
Do you think the team will get back on the winning track this time?
As for Guhle and Slafkovsky, they're being evaluated daily with upper-body injuries and are expected to return in the next few games-unless there's a setback in their recovery.
Stay tuned.
Update: Juraj Slafkovsky and Kaiden Guhle will not be playing this weekend, as they are wearing non-contact jerseys this morning.
It's safe to say they're making good progress, but we'll still need to be patient before seeing them back in the lineup.
