There was no morning practice today for the Montreal Canadiens, so it was in a press conference in the last few minutes that head coach Martin St-Louis announced his changes.

Firstly, note this.

The wait is over for Jayden Struble, and Kovacevic pays the price!

"Jayden Struble will be reinserted into the lineup against Nashville on Tuesday. Johnathan Kovacevic will be left out."

- Montreal Canadiens

And secondly, our fears seem to be confirmed regarding the young Juraj Slafkovsky, who was missing yesterday and seems to be injured.

Martin St-Louis does not know if Slafkovsky will be able to play tonight against Nashville

"Still no confirmation regarding Slafkovsky and RHP. A decision in their case will be made before the game, Martin St-Louis tells us."

- Anthony Martineau, TVA Sports

So, this is a situation to watch, but if Slafkovsky is absent tonight, it would obviously be a significant loss for Martin St-Louis' troops. Let's hope it's not too serious in his case.

It looks like if Slaf is not able to play, RHP will take his place.

Slafkovsky, 19 years old, has accumulated 31 points in 61 games this season, and 41 points in 100 career games.

RHP, 25 years old, has for his part accumulated 7 points in 24 games this season, and 28 points in 62 career games.
