Martin St-Louis finally reveals his line combinations and Patrik Laine's position is very interesting
The head coach of the Canadiens, Martin St-Louis, has just revealed his first line combinations, and we've been keeping an eye on Patrik Laine's position.
Based on what the team revealed this morning, here are the first line combinations for the Montreal Canadiens ' 2024 training camp:
«Slafkovsky - Suzuki - Caufield
Newhook - Dach - Laine
Roy - Dvorak - Anderson
Armia - Evans - Gallagher»
This confirms that Patrik Laine will start in the Canadiens' top six, on the second line alongside none other than Kirby Dach. We love it!
Patrik Laine on the second line
Martin St-Louis made his first major decision involving three players, and he had already shown his intentions for Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, and Juraj Slafkovsky.
However, the rest is new! It will be interesting to see if Christian Dvorak can keep Jake Evans on the fourth line, or if Evans will shake things up.
It really feels like hockey in Montreal!
We're so excited to see the players in action, and I'll say it again-I'm especially eager to see Patrik Laine on the offense (and to see Kirby Dach again). Those two could absolutely make a difference for Martin St-Louis' squad if they play up to their immense talent.
