The Montreal Canadiens organization has just made an announcement involving defenseman Kaiden Guhle.

Young Guhle had his appendix removed yesterday and will miss the start of training camp.

The good news is that the Canadiens' announcement suggests Guhle could be back sooner rather than later.

Kaiden Guhle to Miss the Start of Camp

Yesterday, we mentioned how great it was to see all players 100% healthy for the start of camp, except for Rafaël Harvey-Pinard. Well, that statement didn't stay true for very long.

The good news is that this seems relatively minor given the circumstances.

For now, there is absolutely nothing to suggest that he is at risk of missing the first game of the 2024-2025 regular season.

Kaiden Guhle, 22, is a 6-foot-3, 201-pound defenseman. He was the 16th overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2020 and recorded 22 points in 70 games last season (40 points in 114 career NHL games).

He is currently in the final year of his entry-level contract, earning $863,334, and will then be paid $5.55 million per year until 2031.
