During press conference last night, after his team's humiliating defeat against the New York Rangers, head coach Martin St-Louis lost his patience.

And that's perfectly normal; I would even say that the opposite would have been very disappointing on his part.

We even had an interesting moment where St-Louis outright refused to answer a question from a journalist.

Martin St-Louis Refuses to Answer a Question from a Journalist

It happens starting at the 30th minute of the following video.

The head coach of the Canadiens was then questioned about his team's recurring poor starts.

«I think I've [already] explained it»

This was followed by a brief awkward moment, and as the journalist tried to follow up, Martin repeated that he had already explained it.

Then, the reporter tried to follow up a second time, and Martin simply replied, «OK»

He never answered the question.

Personally, I like seeing this, and I think it shows the character of the head coach of the Canadiens, while clearly demonstrating that the standards are different this season.

The team members should be frustrated after a loss, especially after such an embarrassing defeat.

The journalist's question was perfectly valid, at least in my opinion, but it's clear that it was the equivalent of picking at a sore spot that seemed sensitive for Martin St-Louis.

Several analysts are talking today about the possible lack of preparation among the Montreal Canadiens players and the fact that the team doesn't seem ready at the start of the game, so yes, the question was valid, but it's understandable that it irritated Martin, because in reality, the team's proper preparation is his responsibility.

We are eager to see if there will be an improvement for the next game.
