Maxime Truman, from DansLesCoulisses, recently explained why he published the famous dekhockey video of Cédric Paré after his incident involving Patrik Laine.

Let's recall that a few hours after what happened between Paré and Laine at the Bell Centre...

Truman shared a video in which Cédric Paré is seen delivering a stick hit to an opponent during a LNHB (National Ball Hockey League) game.

DLC - This is not the first time Cédric Paré has committed a violent act against an opponent.

It happened during a match between Pro Style Lettrage from Lévis and the Victoriaville Lynx.

Maxime Truman explains his side of the Cédric Paré / Patrik Laine saga

In short, after this article and the release of the video, Truman faced numerous harsh criticisms, some of which really crossed the line (he mentioned that he seriously considered contacting the police, imagine that).

In the most recent episode of his excellent podcast Stanley25, published last Thursday, the owner of DansLesCoulisses revisited this unfortunate story.

Here's the relevant clip.

Yes, it's absolutely unacceptable, and he also went through difficult times as part of this "saga." He even mentioned in the clip above that he consulted Georges Laraque to better understand what might have happened.

Let's hope we can all learn from this, and that we can learn to debate in a reasonable and civilized way in the future. As he rightly points out, there are sometimes gray areas in such highly publicized cases, and we must remain open to other points of view.

Here's the full episode of the Stanley25 season premiere.

This promises a lot for season 2 of this unique podcast.
