Molson just resolved the situation with Gorton and his future in MTL
In an interview with Renaud Lavoie, from TVA Sports, Geoff Molson settled the Jeff Gorton file, on behalf of the Montreal Canadiens.
For some time now, rumors have been sending him as GM elsewhere, notably with the Columbus Blue Jackets, but the big boss has just very clearly settled the matter.
The Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations for the Montreal Canadiens, Jeff Gorton, will stay with the Habs, Geoff Molson assures!
Molson was clear. There is no chance he will let Columbus talk to Gorton, which is obviously great news.
"The chances that I will let the Blue Jackets talk to him are zero." - Geoff Molson
Let's not forget that Gorton was Molson's number one choice from the very beginning. He's his guy, he's the one who chose him, and he's going to keep him.
