Rare scene at practice as Martin St-Louis loses patience, and the players pay the price
We just witnessed a significant moment, live from the Montreal Canadiens' practice.
I have to admit that I'm extremely proud of Martin St-Louis.
Since the beginning of the season, he's been criticized for appearing too lenient with his players when they perform poorly. He's criticized for not being strict enough, but today, the party ended.
Martin St-Louis Conducts Punitive Practice in Washington
The players were punished by their head coach with grueling skating drills. I love it.
The pucks have been put away, and the players have sweated.
Check out the images shared by various journalists on-site; they speak volumes.
Kudos to young Lane Hutson, once again, who leads the pack with his effort.
Some good old «line-to-line» drills for the Montreal Canadiens players.
Let's also remember that the team is still in Washington, even though they're set to face the Penguins tomorrow night in Pittsburgh.
Clearly, Martin St-Louis and the management want to send a message to the players.
We're eager to see how the team responds tomorrow night against Sidney Crosby's crew.
Montreal is currently in 25th place in the NHL standings, with a record of 4 wins, 6 losses, and 1 overtime loss.
Will the Canadiens turn things around and compete for a playoff spot? We will see!
