Sad announcement and death: official statement from the Canadiens
We received some very sad news today, and the entire hockey world is mourning.
As we reported earlier this afternoon, the voice of Hockey Night in Canada, legendary commentator Bob Cole, has passed away.
Following this sad announcement, the Canadiens have reacted.

Such class from the Canadiens! We take this opportunity to once again offer our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the legendary Bob Cole.
Bob Cole, whose voice was literally the soundtrack of Saturday night hockey games in Canada, had an incredible career that lasted over half a century.
Cole, aged 90, passed away Wednesday evening in St. John's, surrounded by his family, his daughter Megan Cole said.
His traditional "Oh, baby!" will forever be etched in the memory of hockey fans.
