The young Montreal Canadiens goaltender, Cayden Primeau, has faced his share of challenging moments in the NHL.

As he officially begins his first season as the undisputed number 2 goaltender in the NHL, many experts are expressing doubts about him and his consistency.

Several NHL sources believe that Cayden Primeau should eventually be replaced by Kent Hughes.

We bring this up today because, for a rare moment, an established goaltender in the NHL is available completely for free until 2 PM on this Monday.

Ville Husso is currently available on NHL waivers

Could he be an option for the Montreal Canadiens and Kent Hughes, especially now that the team has an available spot in its lineup AND the necessary cap space?

We'll have the answer at 2 PM today.

And you, do you think Kent Hughes should replace Cayden Primeau with Ville Husso?

Husso, 29 years old, is a 6'3", 205-pound Finnish goaltender.

He was a fourth-round pick of the St. Louis Blues in 2014 and was the one who claimed the number one goaltending job from the excellent Jordan Binnington in 2022 (with a record of 25 wins, 7 losses, a goals-against average of 2.56, and a save percentage of 0.920).

After an excellent stint with the Blues, he signed a contract with the Detroit Red Wings, a deal with an annual value of $4.75 million, valid until 2025.

His time with the Wings has been more difficult, and he has not played up to his $4.75 million per year salary.

Yes, it's a hefty price tag, but the important thing is that his contract ends after this season.

What would you do if it were your decision?
