The Montreal Canadiens hold the biggest hidden card who knows Patrik Laine perfectly
The General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, did an outstanding job with the acquisition of forward Patrik Laine from the Columbus Blue Jackets.
He did his homework, gathered information on the young player, and even had the chance to meet Laine in person before acquiring him.
On top of all that, Kent Hughes was able to play a great hidden card he had up his sleeve.
That hidden card goes by the name Pascal Vincent.
Martin Lemay explains how Pascal Vincent could have been a special asset for Kent Hughes in the Patrik Laine trade
The Montreal organization has just hired Pascal Vincent as the head coach of the farm team .
The Quebec native knows Laine inside out, and it's certain he was consulted before the trade.
Vincent coached him in Winnipeg and in Columbus, as mentioned by the BPM Sports host.
It's also true that Pascal Vincent even tried Patrik Laine at center with the Blue Jackets, which says a lot.
In any case, the two men seem to have a great relationship, contrary to what some believed.
Hats off to him!
