In a press conference over the last few minutes, the person currently replacing Martin St-Louis behind the Canadiens bench, Trevor Letowski, announced a first change to his lineup.

"It's Montembeault who will face the Oilers on Tuesday!" - Montreal Canadiens

Letowski is therefore sending the Quebec goalie into the fray and in net tomorrow night against the powerful Edmonton Oilers. He takes Cayden Primeau's place.

It's obviously a completely logical decision.

Samuel Montembeault, 27, has a record of 13-12-6 this season, a goals against average of 3.11, and a very solid save percentage of 0.905.

He is the number one goalie for the Montreal Canadiens.

Breaking down his performance by quarter of the season, we get this:

1st quarter - 0.908 save percentage
2nd quarter - 0.910 save percentage
3rd quarter - 0.894 save percentage
4th quarter (ongoing) - 0.910 save percentage

This shows a very nice consistency from the Quebec goaltender. His third quarter was marred by just one terrible game against the Boston Bruins, but otherwise, it's extremely stable.

This is what we want from our number one goalie.
