Patrick Roy Explodes in Press Conference While St-Louis Stays Calm After Embarrassing 9-2 Loss
We witnessed two quite interesting scenes last night during the press conferences following the games of the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Islanders.
On one side, we have Martin St-Louis and the Canadiens, who delivered an embarrassing performance at the Bell Centre and were defeated 9-2.
See Martin St-Louis's response after the game:
"I don't know if it was anger. To me it was more disappointed. I think anger is an emotion. Disappointing is a feeling. Because I felt going into the third I was excited to see.. I think we took two early penalties in the third. It's hard to get some momentum and then the game just kind of slipped away. And after that the (chain came off). I don't know..I think I was a little angry maybe on the fourth goal, the fifth goal maybe. But after that it was more disappointed than angry."
He remained relatively calm and mentioned that he wasn't angry but was mostly really disappointed by how things unfolded.
On the other side, we have Patrick Roy and the Islanders, who won 5-4 but were very sloppy in their defensive zone.
And Patrick Roy's response was quite different.
Patrick Roy gives us a memorable moment in the press conference
After the game, he was clearly not in a good mood.
Patrick Roy is perhaps the angriest man I've ever seen since he took over as head coach of the Islanders. Absolutely furious.
"It was unacceptable. We weren't competitive, and we didn't battle in front of the net for the last 8 minutes. That's unacceptable."

The former number 33 even added that he "would have broken a stick" if the Islanders had played like that in front of him. Wow.

It makes us wonder what it would have been like last night at the Bell Centre if Patrick Roy had been the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens.
It would have been something to remember.
