New York Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck and his wife have found themselves in hot water on this Halloween day.

While Halloween is a special day in the NHL, with teams sharing a variety of unique costumes, some may have taken things a bit too far.

Personally, I don't necessarily have an issue with Vincent Trocheck and his wife's costume, but it's up to you to decide, as it's sparking a lot of reactions on social media right now.

A Halloween Costume That Has People Talking for Vincent Trocheck and His Wife

Vincent Trocheck, whose wife posted a photo of their costume on social media, is facing a lot of criticism today.

Check out the images we found, as Trocheck's wife has since deleted all her photos.

Among the critics is Andrew Berkshire, who has been quite harsh toward them.

It's worth noting that Trocheck and his wife, Hilary, dressed up this year as Erik and Lyle Menendez, who have made headlines recently following the release of a Netflix documentary on their heinous crimes, making it one of the biggest stories worldwide.

«Taking an interest in history is one thing, but taking the time to plan these costumes and post them on social media shows a total lack of sensitivity on the part of Trocheck and his wife.»

Personally, I find it hard to get too outraged at Trocheck and his wife, especially since, when I first read controversial Halloween costume for Vincent Trocheck, I honestly expected something much worse. But, it's up to you to decide.

Some are even going as far as calling for possible sanctions for Trocheck, which I think would be completely exaggerated. Once again, though, form your own opinion on the matter.

This will be a story to watch.
