In the last few minutes, as reported by the TVA Sports network, Quebecor has issued a statement following the saga of the likely relocation of the Arizona Coyotes.
Here it is:
"We still have great interest in the return of the Nordiques to Quebec. The support of the fans towards the Remparts in the current series demonstrates their passion for hockey and the ability of the Quebec market to support a professional team. Quebecor has all the necessary assets to successfully operate the activities of a National Hockey League team."
That comes from Martin Tremblay, Chief Operating Officer of Quebecor's Sports and Entertainment Group.
He announces that they still have great interest in a return of the Nordiques.
Let's not forget that the troubles of the Arizona Coyotes, following last night's vote, have given hope back to the fans of the Quebec Nordiques to find their team again.
The NHL announced today that the Coyotes will play next season in Arizona, but it also, for the first time, admitted that the option of relocation is on the table.

A very big case to follow!
