As we continue to follow the journey of some former Montreal Canadiens players with their new teams, it can't be said that things are necessarily going well for them.
After Jeff Petry and Jonathan Drouin, Thursday night was Mike Hoffman's turn to be sent to the stands by his new head coach.
Hoffman removed from the lineup in San Jose
He was removed from the poor Sharks' lineup after starting the season on the top line.
Being taken out of the lineup of one of the worst teams of the past 10 years is not necessarily a good sign for Hoffman's future.
Hoffman, 33 years old, has 0 goals and 1 assist in nine games this season, with a negative differential of -7.
He averages 15 minutes 24 seconds of ice time, nearly 3 minutes of which are on the power play (although this has decreased each game).
Let's also note that the third highest scorer for the Sharks has only two points this season. No, things aren't going well there.
Based on yesterday's practice, Hoffman will still not play today.
