Last-minute surprise announcement from the Seattle Kraken: it's officially over for Shane Wright as well as his 2nd stint in the NHL as he returns to the AHL
In the last few seconds, it was announced that two young forwards, including Shane Wright, are no longer on the official NHL roster of the Seattle Kraken.
Shane Wright and Ryan Winterton have been sent back to the AHL, with the Firebirds, the Kraken's farm team.
The announcement of his return to the NHL last week was met with great excitement from fans, who referred to it as "Shane's second chance."
Ultimately, his stay in the NHL was short-lived. (3 games)
Like Juraj Slafkovsky, he is still very young.
Wright, 19 years old, fourth overall pick in 2022, accumulated 0 points during his three-game call-up. (negative differential of -1)
Details will follow. His 2nd stint in the NHL is over.
