A young 20-goal scorer and former Toronto Maple Leaf is a suspect in a major crime investigation.
Kapanen Suspected Of Aggravated Drunk Driving
It was just revealed that Kasperi Kapanen is suspected of aggravated drunk driving in his homeland of Finland.
As of now, the case has begun in the District Court of Pohjois-Savo in Finland. The case is scheduled to be heard in court in February of 2024.
Kapanen is currently a member of the St. Louis Blues. He put up 14 points in 23 games with them last season after being traded from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
He had his best years come with the Toronto Maple Leafs where he had a 20-goal 44-point campaign in 2018-19. He was then traded to Pittsburgh where he spent three seasons and produced lackluster numbers near the end.
His future is currently unknown and it is unknown if the NHL will enforce any additional penalties. More updates to follow.
