Terrible News: The Hockey World Mourns as One of Toronto Maple Leafs' Top Prospects Loses His Father Timo Hirvonen
In the last few minutes, terrible news has been announced in the world of hockey.
As reported by Chris Johnston of TSN, former Finnish player Timo Hirvonen, who is also the father of one of the current top prospects of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Roni Hirvonen, has just passed away at the age of only 49.
A very sad announcement. 49 years, just imagine...
Our deepest condolences to young Roni, who is going through a real nightmare, and to his entire family.
Hirvonen, 21, is a 2nd round pick by the Leafs in 2020.
His father, Timo, had a brilliant 14-season career as a forward. He had been a coach since the end of his professional playing career.
