During a recent broadcast of the show Hockey 360 on RDS, François Gagnon recently put forward two possibilities.

He first spoke about Dylan Cozens, obviously knowing that several rumors link him to the Montreal Canadiens:

"Michael Hage could be involved to get a guy like Dylan Cozens."

- François Gagnon

However, the idea of parting with the young center prospect doesn't seem to be a very popular one, as some experts see Hage as the future second center of the organization.

That's why François Gagnon instead suggested the names of two veterans who could fill the second center role for the Canadiens in the short term, following the loss of Kirby Dach.

These players are Brayden Schenn of the St. Louis Blues and Ryan O'Reilly of the Nashville Predators.

If they can't acquire a young center player, Schenn and O'Reilly could still prove to be temporary solutions for the Canadiens, especially since it's starting to be clear that Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook might not be the right fit to be a second center.

Even though acquiring Schenn or O'Reilly might not cost too much due to their contracts, Kent Hughes will still have to find a way to convince them to join the Canadiens.

This season, Ryan O'Reilly has collected 39 points in 58 games with the Predators, who are likely to be sellers at the trade deadline.

As for Brayden Schenn with the Blues, it could be a different story, as the team is just three points away from a playoff spot.

These are two more stories to follow by Friday.
