Toronto journalist asks the most ridiculous question of the year and Berube's reaction is priceless
For those who think Montreal Canadiens journalists are intense, know that it can sometimes be worse elsewhere.
Unfortunately, this is no joke. The head coach of the Maple Leafs, Craig Berube, has just realized how ridiculous the media pressure can sometimes get in a passionate hockey market.
The new head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs gets asked if it's too early to panic after two preseason games
Even though the Leafs have only played two small preseason games, Berube has already been asked if it's time to start panicking.
His reaction is absolutely perfect.
A lot of people will be closely watching these two losses. Is it too early to panic?
- A journalist asked after last night's loss to the Ottawa Senators.
You read that right.
Head coach Berube interrupted the question, wisely reminding everyone that we are talking about two pre-season games with extremely incomplete rosters, games mainly used to evaluate young players.
I have a feeling the season will be very long in Toronto, especially if the team struggles early on.
This clearly shows just how much pressure is on this team, and what Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and John Tavares have to deal with every day.
It can't always be easy.
What about you? What's your prediction for the Toronto Maple Leafs' 2024-2025 season? Do you believe they'll win a playoff round? Could this finally be their year?
