The Canadiens have just met with 3 more players ahead of tomorrow's draft
Just hours before the 2024 NHL Draft, Kent Hughes has just met three specific players for his 5th overall pick.
According to the excellent Marco D'Amico, three players were summoned by the Canadiens' management today, just hours before the draft, for a special meeting.
Ivan Demidov, Cayden Lindstrom, and Cole Eiserman summoned by Kent Hughes

It's really interesting.
My personal prediction is that they really want to draft Cayden Lindstrom or Ivan Demidov at the 5th spot, and they need to confirm certain things (in case both players are available).
As for Cole Eiserman, I think Kent Hughes might pull a rabbit out of his hat and announce, for example, a trade for the 11th overall pick if he is still available at that spot.
The Canadiens are being very quiet about Eiserman, which is suspicious... I believe they like him much more than we think! We are still talking about a player who was practically tied with Macklin Celebrini for the 1st overall pick just a few months ago.
Imagine coming out of the first round tomorrow with, say, Ivan Demidov AND Cole Eiserman as first-round picks! That would be incredible.
The draft can't come soon enough! We are very excited for tomorrow.
