Bad news today for one of the defensemen of the Montreal Canadiens.
As reported by TVA Sports, Chris Wideman's season might be over before it even started.
Considering his contract is ending, one might sadly wonder if Wideman has played his last game with the Canadiens and in the NHL.
In 291 games, he accumulated 20 goals and 78 points.
Let's commend his 27-point season in 64 games in 2021-2022 with the Habs.
According to many sources, he has been and continues to be an outstanding teammate for the young players of the Canadiens.
"According to Renaud Lavoie, the defenseman won't be returning to the city anytime soon. During the first intermission tonight, he revealed the chances of seeing Wideman play this season are 'quite slim'."

We genuinely wish him all the best moving forward!
Wideman, currently on the "regular" injured list, might be placed on the long-term injury list. He might join Carey Price there.
