PIT: Huntington, Johnstone, Hollowell

CAR: Martin

COL: Phillips, Ahcan, Rosen

NYR: Groulx

Let's take a closer look at the young Groulx.

Benoit-Olivier Groulx, 24, is a forward standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 198 pounds. He was drafted in the second round by the Anaheim Ducks in 2018, 54th overall.

He has 65 NHL games of experience, all with the Ducks, and he amassed 39 points in 63 games in the AHL in the 2022-23 season.

Let's also talk a bit about goaltender Spencer Martin, as Carolina Hurricanes fans seem extremely disappointed to see him on waivers.

Several Vancouver Canucks fans, for example, are calling for his acquisition.

We're talking about a solid veteran netminder, 29 years old, who was a third-round pick in 2013 and has a career NHL record of 21-26-7, with a goals-against average of 3.52 and a save percentage of .887.

Details will follow, and this will be an interesting case to watch tomorrow, less than a week before the start of the NHL regular season.

Update: Please also note that a goaltender has just been claimed!

Interesting, especially given what's happening with their goaltender Jeremy Swayman.
