Until now, no player's name had been officially and publicly linked to the scandal involving the 2018 edition of Team Canada Junior.
We only had five former players from that team who, in the same week, left their clubs for an indefinite period. (personal reasons)
Well, today, a first name emerges from the shadows.
Alex Formenton has surrendered to the London, Ontario police
This is what Robyn Doolittle just reported.
"BREAKING: Alex Formenton, a former NHL player with the Ottawa Senators and 2018 junior player, has turned himself into London police. "Alex will vigorously defend his innocence and asks that people not rush to judgment without hearing all of the evidence.»
A story in development.
Details to follow.
Reminder that four days ago, according to Rick Westhead from TSN, five players from the 2018 World Juniors team, were told to surrender and face charges.
