BREAKING: two players have just been placed on waivers including a former Stanley Cup Champion
We've seen some action on NHL waivers in the last few seconds.
Zach Sanford and Jacob McDonald on waivers
So, these are the two players who are currently available for free.
McDonald will likely be claimed as a good reliable depth defenseman, much like Jaycob Megna was earlier.
MacDonald, 30, is a defenseman who has accumulated 25 points in 123 NHL games (nine goals) and 54 penalty minutes. His -10 differential is one of the best on the Sharks.
He earns $762,500 per year.
As for Sanford, he is 29 years old and a power forward standing 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 210 pounds. Drafted in the 2nd round in 2013, he has accumulated 103 points in 331 career NHL games (49 goals).
Sanford won the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019. He earns $800,000 per year.
More details to follow.
