The commissioner of the National Hockey League, Gary Bettman, has just officially received very bad news.

As he is still juggling the financial disaster represented by the Arizona Coyotes, he has just learned that he is already losing a major partner.

It was a huge blow to the NHL in 2022, when one of its extremely important partners (GATORADE) suddenly ended its association with the NHL.

The league then turned to the company BioSteel.

And well, it has just been learned that it would already be strangely over:

"Sounds like this will be the last season with BioSteel as the «Official Hydration Partner» of the NHL & NHLPA. It's not yet confirmed, but word out there is BodyArmor will be taking over the partnership starting 2024-25."

- David Pagnotta

This removes even more options for Bettman, and it becomes extremely difficult for him to negotiate a profitable and favorable deal for his league.

A file to follow, but it is certainly bad news for the commissioner and it will be a big issue for him to solve. It's the kind of news that can cause him to lose a lot.

I wonder what the partners think about associating with a league that blindly defends a financial black hole like the Arizona Coyotes.

It can't be very good for business.

When the San Diego Chargers, the St. Louis Rams, and the Oakland Raiders started to falter in the NFL, the league did not hesitate for a second before solving the problem.

And we talk about a model of prosperity... Why not take an example from the most powerful professional league in America?

More details will follow.
