Macklin Celebrini's dad reveals where he wants his son drafted
Just days before the Macklin Celebrini lottery in the NHL, his father has just revealed where he'd like his son to play.
Even before knowing if the Sharks (who have the best odds) win the 1st overall pick, Celebrini's father has just opened up!
A preference for Macklin Celebrini
Rick Celebrini, who is the director of sports medicine for the Golden State Warriors, based in San Francisco, would really like his son to end up in San Jose. This is obviously understandable.
"It would be incredible (if he were drafted by the Sharks). We talk about it all the time," said Rick Celebrini, Macklin's father this week.
"We try not to get too carried away, because it's not up to us, and we really don't want to be disappointed either, but as a family, it would be incredible to have him here with us in the Bay where we could help and support him."
With the likes of William Eklund, Thomas Bordeleau, Quentin Musty, Will Smith and company, Celebrini would be a huge addition for the Sharks organization.
As for the fans of the Montreal Canadiens, they should not lose hope and should not think that Celebrini would not like to play here, quite the contrary.
He has often dropped hints indicating that he would love to play with his good friend Lane Hutson. He has commented on some Habs posts in this regard, so Montreal seems to be in his top-2 in terms of his preferences.
Celebrini will get his answer in about two weeks, during the 2024 NHL lottery.
Yes, he is a special talent:
It would be huge for Montreal to win this lottery!
