Major announcement: A huge blow has just struck the Toronto Maple Leafs
In a press conference held just moments ago, the head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Sheldon Keefe, announced a major news.
Ilya Samsonov, injured, is not available for Wednesday's do-or-die game.
This means that tomorrow, as the Toronto Maple Leafs face elimination (and a four-game sweep), they will turn to a rookie goaltender with 13 career NHL games of experience.
Joseph Woll, 24 years old, will be in net for the Leafs. He has a save percentage of 0.846 and a 3.85 average in two games during the current 2023 playoffs.
