The Detroit Red Wings have just signed forward Joe Veleno to a one-season contract worth $825,000.

Veleno, 23 years old and originally from Montreal, is a 6-foot-1-inch center weighing 206 pounds. He was drafted 30th overall (1st round) in 2018 by the Red Wings.
Last season, in the NHL, he collected 20 points in 81 games.
We're talking about a one-way contract for Veleno, who will become a restricted free agent next summer. He is also now eligible for NHL waivers.
