BREAKING: Three players have just been placed on waivers, including a former 1st round pick
In the last few seconds, it has been announced that three players have been placed on NHL waivers, including a surprising name for fans of the Washington Capitals.
Jacob Bryson, Ryan Shea, and Lucas Johansen are available for free.
Johansen, the brother of Ryan, is a 1st round pick (28th overall) of the Washington Capitals in 2016. He has one point and a +1 rating in 6 games this season. He also accumulated 35 points in his last two seasons in the AHL.
Bryson, 26, has accumulated 28 points in 173 career games in the National Hockey League, with strong defensive statistics. He has been a regular in the NHL for nearly 4 years.
Finally, Shea, 26, has played 22 games this season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, after collecting 60 points in the AHL over the past two seasons.
They will know their next destination in less than 24 hours.
Johansen and Bryson could really be claimed, but in the case of Shea, he is likely to head to the American Hockey League.
To be continued.
