Unsurprisingly, there are a few names from the Montreal Canadiens, such as Sean Monahan, Christian Dvorak, goaltenders (Jake Allen and Cayden Primeau), but it's the name of a player from another team that is drawing attention.
As my colleagues from RDT report, there is increasing chatter in the NHL that forward Johnny Gaudreau might be available. Wow.
We're talking about a 100-point scorer, who is clearly not in the right spot in Columbus.
His choice of the Blue Jackets as a free agent had surprised many in the hockey world, and now he might already be changing addresses.
Gaudreau could truly be a major addition for a team, especially since he is still quite young.
Gaudreau, 30 years old, is a 5 feet 9 inches and 165 pounds forward who has accumulated 22 points in 35 games.
Last season, he had gathered 74 points in 80 games, and 115 points in 82 games the year before.
