The Canadiens' season has barely ended and already analysts are thinking about next season. On last Friday's episode of the TVA Sports show 'JiC,' Maxim Lapierre was already thinking about his forward line combinations for the next season.

The former NHL player believes that the Canadiens have a certain local winger in their ranks who could do some serious damage over a long period of time.

"I think Rafaël Harvey-Pinard has a place on a first or second line."

"I would see him with Kirby Dach on the second unit, but Dach will also need a regular scorer, as is the case with Suzuki who already has Caufield. These two would obviously be paired on the first line. However, Cole and Nick would also be more effective with another winger by their side who can score goals and create offensively," said Maxim Lapierre.

So, according to Lapierre, the line combinations should be :

Suzuki - Caufield
Dach - Harvey-Pinard

Lapierre also discussed the possible acquisition of Pierre-Luc Dubois by the Canadiens.

"Overall, the Canadiens need to add some power to their top two lines, and that could be achieved through an acquisition like Pierre-Luc Dubois, for example," added Maxim Lapierre.

Regarding Dubois, the former Canadiens player also revealed on 98.5 FM over the weekend who could leave the Canadiens in such a transaction. According to him, the ideal candidate would be Jordan Harris.

"For me, it would be Harris who would be sacrificed simply because of the number of left-handed players we will have in the organization," said Maxim Lapierre.
