According to the excellent Jeff Marek of Sportsnet, who is probably the best junior hockey insider in Canada, a major trade involving Montreal Canadiens prospect Owen Beck is underway.

«OHL - It is said that the Saginaw Spirit is acquiring Owen Beck (MTL) from the Peterborough Petes. The deal is not yet completely concluded but it is heading in that direction.» - Jeff Marek

Everything indicates that Beck will finish the season with Saginaw.

Expect a very large number of draft picks to be involved in this transaction in exchange for Beck.

As we mentioned, but it was to be expected upon his return from the World Junior Hockey Championship. He will now have the opportunity to play for a very solid club.

It is excellent news for his development.

Beck, 19 years old, a 33rd overall pick by the CH in 2022, has accumulated 30 points, including 16 goals, in 25 games this season.
