Major surprise on NHL waivers: two players are involved
Certainly, Kent Hughes will have to be careful before placing any more players on NHL waivers.
We are clearly in a phase where teams are thirsty for reinforcements, and we see many players being claimed.
Here's another one.
To the surprise of many, Chisholm did not pass through NHL waivers.
He is indeed heading to Minnesota, which really caught the people of Winnipeg off guard.
Chisholm, a 24-year-old left-handed defenseman, has 1 point in 4 career NHL games. He was a 5th-round pick by the Winnipeg Jets in 2018.
Speaking of waivers, note that Shore is currently available for free.
Don't be surprised if he gets claimed.
Shore, 29 years old, is a center who was drafted in the 2nd round in 2012 by the Dallas Stars. He has 139 points (51 goals) in his NHL career, including 4 points in 21 games this season.
In the AHL, he has 11 points in 14 games played since 2016.
Do you think he will be claimed? Also, please note the following:
