Signing alert of goaltender Alex Stalock and the fans love it
We were treated to a beautiful surprise signing in the last few minutes, as it was announced that goaltender Alex Stalock has signed with the Anaheim Ducks! Wow!
Why is this a surprise, and why do NHL fans love this signing?
Because Stalock is an incredible example of courage, determination, and perseverance. He has quite a story.
Stalock, now 36, defies all odds.
Very few experts believed he would still be in the NHL today.
In 2021-22, Stalock played only one game, and all signs pointed to his career unfortunately being over. He was then diagnosed with myocarditis after testing positive for COVID.
All signs indicated that his career was over.
Well, today, more than two years later, he's landed a new contract in the NHL. This is truly remarkable.
It's a one-season contract with a total value of $800,000 for Stalock.
What a great story!
