Surprise on the National Hockey League waivers in a few minutes. It officially reopens today and two names are causing a stir
We are officially 12 days away from the start of the 2023 National Hockey League season.
Why is this important?
Because today is officially the day that waivers are reactivated!
So, expect a large wave of names to be placed on NHL waivers at 2 p.m. today.
"Teams can place their players on waivers today at 2 p.m. ET.
Today marks the 12th day before the start of the NHL season, which will kick off on October 10.
Consequently, the waiver period for the season officially opens today." - CapFriendly
This will indeed be very interesting to watch!
For the Montreal Canadiens, the two names to watch are Cayden Primeau and Joel Armia.
This does not mean that they will be on waivers today, far from it, but it's a possibility.
We will also be on the lookout for any interesting names available for the Canadiens.
Reminder: Injured players can still be put on waivers, but they cannot be assigned to another league until they have been medically cleared to play.
Stay tuned over the next few hours!
