One point particularly caught attention.
The Canadiens' GM knows that he will eventually have to use his surplus of defensemen to rebalance the forces and bring reinforcement on attack.
That's indeed his plan to focus on acquiring good forwards soon! (via the trade market, the draft, and the free agent market)
He even almost confirmed that he would like to conclude another trade similar to the Kirby Dach one.
In short, knowing this, the BPM Sports network proposed four extremely talented young forwards to Kent Hughes, forwards who might be available on the trade market.
Here they are:
So, it's about:
- Alexander Holtz, a 7th overall pick in 2020 who has accumulated 26 points in 69 career NHL games, including 20 in 41 this season.
- Anton Lundell, a 12th overall pick in 2020 who has accumulated 90 points in 177 career NHL games, including 13 in 39 this season.
- Vasili Podkolzin, a 10th overall pick in 2019 who has accumulated 33 points in 118 career NHL games and 19 points in 26 AHL games this season.
- Kaapo Kakko, a 2nd overall pick in 2019 who has accumulated 101 points in 260 career NHL games, including 18 goals last year.
Do you like these proposals, and what would you trade to get them?
Personally, we really like Anton Lundell. He had a great rookie season (44 points in 65 games at only 19 years old) and he is a potential future Selke Trophy winner. He reminds us a lot of Nick Suzuki.
