A recent statement from renowned insider Darren Dreger of TSN has really piqued our curiosity and is far from done making waves.

Yes, he's still talking about Trevor Zegras and the Montreal Canadiens.

It must be said that it's normal for this to cause such a buzz because it's extremely rare to see a 22-year-old forward, as talented as he is, available on the trade market.

Joel Armia involved in a trade for Trevor Zegras?

Let's just say this kind of statement causes a stir.

Obviously, it wouldn't be a "one-for-one" trade, and obviously Kent Hughes would have to add something, but it could be an excellent way to kill two birds with one stone.

"Hey, maybe he (Joel Armia) is involved as a complementary player for the Ducks when Kent Hughes gets Trevor Zegras to play with Cole Caufield."

And this comes from an insider who frequently chats with agents and GMs involved.

In any case, this will be a file to watch, but with all the smoke that's currently there, it seems to confirm this.

Yes, Zegras is available for acquisition, and yes, the Montreal Canadiens are among his potential destinations, a city he loves here.

After that, will Kent Hughes be able to find common ground with Ducks GM Pat Verbeek? To be continued.
