As the 2023 NHL Draft approaches, the trade market is likely to heat up again.
While young Gabe Perreault has sent a clear message to Kent Hughes, more and more Canadiens fans are hoping that the CH will draft him with their second first-round pick, the one from the Panthers.
Unfortunately or fortunately, Perreault is far too dominant to slip to the end of the first round. His production is worthy of the likes of Will Smith and company.
To get this talented player, Kent Hughes will therefore have to be creative, and he will have to advance the Panthers' pick a few ranks.
To achieve this and to create flexibility under the NHL salary cap, three players are reportedly on the trade market. A source even claims that it will be easier to trade them (and their contracts) now that we are in the off-season.
We are talking about Christian Dvorak, Joel Edmundson, and Mike Hoffman.
'Dvorak, Edmundson, and Hoffman are available options on the trade market for the Canadiens.'
A case to follow over the coming weeks! Who do you think will leave first?
