In the last few minutes and following the major trade announced yesterday, see what TVA Sports network has just published.

It's certainly intriguing.

It's easy to forget, with the acquisition of Jeff Petry taking all the attention, but in this three-team transaction with the Penguins and Sharks, Kent Hughes also added goaltender Casey DeSmith, who's not bad.

"We won't talk much about him today, but with his average of 3.17 and a save percentage of .905, Casey DeSmith would have had the best statistics of any Canadiens' goalie in 2022-2023."

In its report, TVA Sports indeed mentions that everyone is talking about Petry, but Jake Allen could truly also be on his way out.

"A three-man rotation in the net doesn't work. I would like us to give Samuel Montembeault all the room and tell him: 'You are the number one goalie.' I think we would like to trade Allen. DeSmith could be Montembeault's backup." - Michel Bergeron

In this report, we also understand that it might soon be the end for Cayden Primeau as the potential future goalie for the CH.

It's not surprising, especially considering all the goalies who have landed in the organization in recent weeks and since the draft.
