As Kent Hughes' most significant matter approaches the start of the season in the trade market, specifically concerning his goalies, there's finally an update.

The renowned Incarcerated Bob has agreed to share details about the information he holds on the matter.

Can we trust him? Absolutely.

He's a popular radio host and was notably the first to link Martin St-Louis to the Montreal Canadiens. He's also behind several other scoops involving the Tricolore, such as the offer sheet from the Carolina Hurricanes for Jesperi Kotkaniemi. The rest is history.

In short, he just posted the following:

It's fairly quiet around the NHL until next month; the Canadiens are still actively shopping Casey DeSmith.

They might keep him and wait until an injury happens in the NHL during training camp or at the beginning of the regular season.

He therefore confirms that it's indeed DeSmith whom the Montreal Canadiens are actively shopping around at the moment. However, all teams seem to have their goaltender set.

When might DeSmith change teams?

During the training camps or at the start of the NHL regular season, when there will inevitably be goalie injuries.

A story to watch, indeed.
