Carolina reveals which Habs player they want in exchange for Martin Necas

Arpon Basu thus confirms the type of player the Carolina Hurricanes are asking for in exchange for Martin Necas. While he doesn't confirm that they would necessarily ask for Mike Matheson, he seems to believe that this would be the case.
He is the only one matching the revealed criteria.

Mike Matheson, 30 years old, 6 feet 2 inches and 196 pounds, is a first-round pick from 2012 and has accumulated 62 points in 82 games this season for the Montreal Canadiens.
He has been one of the most productive defensemen in the entire NHL since joining Montreal.
