Huge last-minute news in the National Hockey League!
The Washington Capitals have just placed none other than their #1 center, Evgeny Kuznetsov, on NHL waivers.
The Canadiens are indeed one of the only teams in the entire league that can afford to acquire Kuznetsov for free.
He commands $7.8 million for one more season after this one.
Releasing a player like Christian Dvorak would help, but even without doing anything, the CH could add Kuznetsov.

He amassed 55 points last season, and 79 points the season before. He was probably the MVP of the Caps during their Stanley Cup win.
